The Childbirth Collective
Are you looking for a birth doula, a postpartum doula, or perhaps a photographer
or massage therapist, midwife or other professional for your pregnancy and birth? Or perhaps you are a birth-related professional, a new doula, or just want to know more about birth work?
Contact us anytime! (For pregnant people, we recommend exploring
education programs and doula services by your fourth month, but it is never too late, or too early!)
The best way to meet us is at a Parent Topic Night. Click on the "Parent Topic Nights" link to the left, and view the schedule--no registration necessary, and attendance is free!
Our Mission
The mission of the Childbirth Collective is to enhance the childbearing year for parents by promoting quality doula support, advocating evidence-based care, and providing accessible education based on the wellness model of maternity care.
We have endorsed the CIMS
Mother-Friendly Childbirth Initiative.
Please take some time to read this important document.
We execute our mission by educating families and
the community about the role of the
doula, providing ongoing education for doulas, and helping families locate
doulas in Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota. Since our inception almost 15 years ago, we have grown to
a birth network of over one hundred doulas and many other birth professionals who
support families and each other.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
with active chapters in Minneapolis/St. Paul, the St. Croix River valley (Stillwater/Hudson),
Duluth (Northland), Winona/LaCrosse, and Fargo/Moorhead (click here for website).
