Certifications and qualifications: B.A. in Social Work/Women's Studies, and working on doula certification

I am originally from the West Coast and have been living in Minnesota since fall 2001. I live in South Minneapolis and work full time as a Development Director at a small non-profit agency. I enjoy continuing to get to know this area and the wonderful communities within the Twin Cities.

I believe that every woman has the right to the birth experience she desires. I like to meet with moms at least twice prenatally, which gives us a chance to discuss birth plans and desires. I will be a constant suppor tand presence throughout labor, and will meet with new moms approximately twice following the birth to process the experience and provide post-partum support and information. I am also available by phone and email for an additional six months following the birth.

I completed my Birth Doula training in March 2004 and am an active member of DONA and the Childbirth Collective. I am currently working with the Community Doula Program in Ramsey County, and taking private clients. I am open to and enjoy working with all forms of families, including gay/lesbian parents, single parents, and teen moms.
