Certifications and qualifications: Certifying Birth Doula with DONA

Childbirth should be one of the most important and most empowering experiences you will ever have! It is a time when you go deep within and find out powerful you are and, with support and focus, how in charge you can be of this passage into new life. It is unforgettable in every way!

I have four daughters of my own and adore working with mothers and children. My family and I live in Mahtomedi (near North St Paul) and so I am near Woodwinds, Lakeview, St. John’s Hospitals. Downtown St Paul is also within 15 minutes.

I am a doula who seeks to nurture and support women in this life changing event. I am a spiritual counselor, massage therapist and energy worker. I have been doing massage for over 12 years with a thriving private practice providing physical and emotional relief with Swedish massage, Trigger point deep tissue, Reflexology, Hot stone therapy and Healing Touch (Level 4). I also work with women who have just given birth giving support and therapeutic massage at St John’s Hospital in Maplewood. And I provide Healing Touch, on a volunteer basis, for patients as they go into surgery. One of my great loves is teaching creative movement and play classes (with some yoga) known as InterPlay. So finding ways to release stress and find inner harmony through the body, mind and spirit has always been my passion.

Doula services will be free for the next two birthings (including prenatal visits) until I am certified. Only cost is gas and parking expenses.
