I have known for the past ten years that my calling was to the birthing community. It has been only in the past couple of years that I began working towards a life there. I do not yet have children of my own. For now, I am happy helping other parents have theirs. I will soon have a degree in biology from the University of Minnesota, Duluth and hope to continue attending births. I have been working with pregnant woman and attending births since August of 2005. With each birth I attend, I am reassured that my calling is here. I am very happy to be a part of each labor and birth. Nothing satisfies me more than empowering women through my work as a doula. I am currently awaiting my birth doula certification through DONA and hope to also do work as a postpartum doula. I love to meet new people and learn as much as I can from them. I also work part time at a locally owned coffee shop and can make an awesome cup of coffee.
