The birth of your baby should be the most sacred joyful day in your life. Given the right support you can achieve the birth that you envision for you and your baby. It is possible. It is your right.

My name is Emme Corbeil. I am a doula and the mother of three beautiful children. My own births and my journey into motherhood were the most transformative times in my life. They will be for you too. It is my belief that birthing women inherently and intuitively possess all the knowledge she needs to birth. Provided with continuous physical and emotional support a laboring woman will achieve the birth she dreams of. I can help you realize and achieve your dream of a beautiful birth.

I meet with a birthing couple several times before labor begins to educate, plan and discuss comfort measures for labor and birth. I am present with you from the start of your labor until your baby is born. I have experience dealing with the unexpected and can help you navigate the unpredictability of birth.

I have extensive knowledge and experience with breastfeeding and will help you start a beautiful nursing relationship with your baby. After your baby is born we meet at least one more time, in some cases two, where we will get a chance to process your birth experience together. At this time I give you a written account, in the form of a Birth Story, of your labor and birth from start to finish. This will be a written memory, from my perspective, for you to treasure forever. More importantly you and your partner will hold in your heart and soul the true memory of your greatest achievement-your wonderful birth.

I am a certified doula with the premier doula organization Doulas of North America. I completed doula training in the fall of 2000 and have been attending births regularly since then. I am an active member of the Childbirth Collective and Doula of North America.
