Certifications and qualifications: DONA International

I live in Como Park with my husband and two children. We moved back to Minnesota a few years ago after more than two years overseas with the Peace Corps. We lived on South Pacific islands in the Kingdom of Tonga and Solomon Islands. I became a doula after the birth of our daughter in 2004, and we had a doula at our son’s birth in 2007.

The day your child is born is among the most important days of your life. With this in mind, my role is to help you and your family prepare, explore and enjoy. I hope to create an atmosphere of respect at your birth where you feel free and confident in exploring the adventure that birth is.

My services consist of a minimum of two prenatal visits, including a session with your partner to practice massage and birth ball positions (the birth ball is my gift to you); open availability for time and place of labor; and one to two postpartum visits. If you choose, I will take photos, including your family's first minutes together.
