Certifications and qualifications: Working on Birth Doula Certification w/DONA

My family and I just moved back to the Duluth area after a long absence and we are glad to be back near Lake Superior! I live on a small farm and enjoy the life it provides me. I can't imagine not having animals or a garden to tend to. I have one son that was born during a snow storm in December of 1996. He is Homeschooled and somehow manages to teach ME something new everyday.

I feel it is important to give back to your community and being a Doula helps fulfill that commitment. In the past my husband and I were Foster Parents in Michigan and Minnesota and we both enjoy helping families. That is what I enjoy most about being a Doula is supporting families.

I am currently an Active Member of the Childbirth Collective and participate in Birthing Ways. I am also working on my Birth Certification through DONA.
